Ingredients

  • 2 slices of brown (or white) bread

  • 2 strawberries, chopped in small pieces or thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsps cream cheese (or vegan cream cheese)

  • 1 tsp agave/maple syrup (optional)

  • 100ml milk of choice (I used oat milk)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • coconut oil, (or unsalted butter) for cooking

Check what I got for Grace this week

Method

  1. In a small bowl combine the cream cheese and maple syrup (if used).

  2. In a shallow bowl whisk together the milk, and vanilla extract (add a tbsp of maple syrup if desired).

  3. Take the 2 slices of bread and spread an even amount of the cream cheese mixture on both.

  4. Place the strawberries pieces on one of the bread slice and make the sandwich pressing down.

  5. Quickly dip both sides into milk mixture, QUICKLY (2-3 SECOND PER SIDE)!

  6. Melt the coconut oil/or butter into a non stick pan over medium-high heat.

  7. Place sandwich onto pan and cook for 3-5 minutes until the bottom side is golden brown. Flip sandwich, press on sandwich with your spatula and cook for another 3-5 minutes.

  8. Remove from the heat, cut and serve with your favourite toppings.

  9. Enjoy!
