These Banana Pancake Dippers are such a cute idea and it’s so easy to make! Banana and pancake combination just goes perfectly well together! 😍 All you need to do is smother some slices banana in the pancake batter then fry up! Kids will love this breakfast/snack! I’ll write the pancake batter I used but you can use any pancake batter for this recipe!
Ingredients:
125ml milk of choice (I used oat milk)
50g flour or gluten-free flour
40g oat flour (I blended porridge oat)
1 egg
2 bananas
coconut oil for cooking
for the chocolate dip:
1 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tbsps coconut or brown sugar
40ml water
Method:
In a medium bowl or in a blender whisk all the ingredients (milk, flour, oat flour and egg) together until form a smooth, thick batter. Set apart.
Cut the two bananas in three or four and then slice each piece into thirds lengthways to make slices of bananas.
Warm a tablespoon of coconut oil in a pan over a medium heat.
With the help of a tongs, dip the banana slices into the pancake batter, then place on the greased pan. Cook the bananas 2-3 minutes per side, until golden.
For the chocolate dip:
Place the sugar into a small pan, sift the cocoa making sure you get rid of any lumps.
Add the water and stir well.
Heat over a medium heat and bring to boil, stirring all the time until well mixed and starting to thicken (that takes about 5 minutes).
Pour the chocolate dip in a small bowl and enjoy with the Banana Pancake Dippers!
*Note: Modify and cut food according to your children’s age to avoid chocking hazard
