Delicious vegan burgers packed with chickpeas and beetroot! Kids will love the pretty pink colours of these patties! We love eat them in a warm hamburger bun with avocado and hummus...soo good!


  • 1 can chickpeas (240g), drained

  • 190g cooked beetroot

  • 40g breadcrumbs

  • Salt & pepper and the spices you like (garlic powder, parsley etc) to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. Place the drained chickpeas and beetroot in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.

  3. Add the breadcrumbs (at this step you can add salt and pepper, garlic powder , parsley etc if you like) and pulse again until smooth and well incorporated.

  4. Form the patties of the size you like and place them on the prepared baking tray.

  5. Drizzle with some olive oil and bake for 20 minutes (180°C) turning half way.

  6. Remove from the oven and enjoy with your favorite sauce and sides!

  7. OR you can cook them in a frying pan greased with some olive oil (medium high heat), until crispy on both sides.
