👶🏻 Suitable from 6 months, for young babies I recommend using a low-salt cheese such as mozzarella or mild cheddar cheese and to cut the waffles into strips before serving , easier for them to hold

❄️ Store in the fridge in an airtight container the next day and, or freeze up to 2 weeks (re-heat in the microwave)


If your kids are cheese lovers and you’re looking for a super easy and quick recipe this recipe is for you! You can use the cheese you more like, from grated mozzarella for a light taste to the cheddar cheese for a stronger cheesy flavour!

Ingredients

  • 70g grated cheese of choice (mozzarella, cheddar etc) - for young babies I recommend using a low-salt cheese such as mozzarella or mild cheddar cheese

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tbsp self raising flour (or you can use the flour you like with a pinch of baking powder)

Method

  1. Pre-heat your waffle iron.

  2. In a bowl mix well eggs, flour and grated cheese.

  3. Grease the waffle iron with butter or oil.

  4. Pour the mixture into the waffle iron and cook for 4-5 minutes until crispy and golden.

  5. Serve with your favourite toppings or fillings. (You can use the waffles as bread for a sandwich too!)

  6. Enjoy!
