Packed with apples and raisins this healthy Apple & Raisins Bread is something your whole family will enjoy!
It’s great on it’s own or spread with a smear of peanut butter and jam! 😋
6 dessert apples, chopped and quartered
480g all purpose flour
100g brown sugar (or white sugar)
1.5 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 180 degrees and grease a loaf pan.
In a blender add the sliced apples and pulse for only 5 seconds, they should be finely chopped and a bit smooth but not completely smooth like an apple purée (we will use it as the only wet ingredient), set aside. I
n a big bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, raisins, cocoa powder and cinnamon.
Add the the reserved chopped apples and mix well until completely combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 60 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes, then carefully remove the bread from the pan and place on a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
