APPLE PIE OATMEAL🥧


This Apple Pie Oatmeal is so simple and delicious! It tastes unbelievably good just on its own as the apple gives a wonderful sweetness, the almond meal adds a delicious cake touch and the apple compote is a brilliant way to adding a bit of magic to an easy breakfast! Grace loves it!


Ingredients:

for the oatmeal (1 portion)

  • 1/2 apple, grated

  • 30g oat

  • 10g almond meal (you can replace it with 10g of oat)

  • 180ml milk of your choice

  • Pinch of cinnamon powder

for the apple compote

  • 1/2 apple, peeled and chopped

  • 1 tsp maple syrup, agave or honey

  • Pinch of cinnamon powder

  • a dash of water


Method:

  1. For the apple compote: place the chopped apple, maple syrup, cinnamon and the dash of water in a small pan over a medium heat and cook until the apple become very soft, once cooked you can mash it with a fork or leave like that.

  2. Meanwhile prepare the oatmeal.

  3. Grate the apple, you can leave the skin on.

  4. In a saucepan add the oats, almond meal, milk, cinnamon and the grated apple and cook for 5-8 minutes until creamy (add more milk if necessary).

  5. Once cooked, pour in a bowl and topping with the apple compote and your favourite toppings!

  6. Enjoy!

* Toppings should be age appropriate, be mindful of the toppings you use for young children.
